Honoring 20 outstanding young leaders

Daily Herald Media and its partners recognized 20 professional and community leaders younger than 40 years old during a reception event on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014 at The Grand Theater in downtown Wausau. The honorees were chosen from more than 60 outstanding nominations in the Daily Herald’s second 20 Under Forty program. The Daily Herald developed this initiative to identify and celebrate a new generation of people in the Greater Wausau Area who are helping their employers and their community thrive.

Six community judges deliberated, discussed and decided on the honorees. Judges pored over nomination papers that included nominations, letters of recommendation, nominee resumes and lists of community and career achievements.

This special website of Daily Herald Media profiles each of the 20 honorees with a biography and a video interview. View a video clip from the recognition event at The Grand in the player on this page.

Daily Herald Media wishes to thank our partners, including premiere sponsor Peoples State Bank, event partner United Way of Marathon County and nomination sponsors Wipfli LLP, Northcentral Technical College, Ruder Ware, Wisconsin Public Service Corp. and Greenheck Fan Corp. We also wish to thank Emily Voss from Voss Studios for photography services and Samuel Karow from Fancy Horse Films for videography.
